JDM tonneau cover

I doubt you’ll ever find one. I picked up mine about eight or nine years ago. Last time someone was looking was in 2012 and they only found a used one in Japan for 1K without installation instructions or templates.

Hold down studs, permanently mounted
Cover locked onto studs
Rear seat cover support bar - removable
Rear seat support bar bracket. Permanently mounted.
For those of you on the hunt for one of these JDM Tonneau Covers, make sure you get all the parts necessary for a safe install.
They include the following:
- Installation Templates (2)
- Pkg Tray mounting studs (4)
- Rear Seat support Bar (1)
- Rear Seat support Bar Mounts (2)
- Inside Rear Seat Lining (1) not shown here. Shown in post #6 above.
- Miscellaneous mounting hardware (not shown)
The templates are probably the most important because they show you where the
permanent holes are drilled so the cover will fit correctly and stay locked in place.
Yes, I know, before anyone says it. It’s needs a cleaning, LOL. It’s been on so long I haven’t thought about it.

rear seat mods -
Has anyone seen or designed a system for eliminating the rather useless rear seats and converting that space into more storage?
I found - and then admittedly lost - some exchanges from a few years ago about an SC owner wanting room for his dog. It seems the Japanese Domestic Market rear seat covers are no longer readily available so its something that would need to be "home brewed"
I am considering removing the rear seat headrests and exposing the underlying roll bars. Then, if possible, find an upholstery shop that could basically finish off what remains once the seat bench and seat back are pulled. Ideally with some type of lid or cover that can be secured.
