So you are looking for the part that attaches to your windshield?

This may seem like overkill, but maybe you should consider a complete assembly https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tan-Interio...4AAOSwVNxaDhdR

Could you take a picture of the windshield button? I am not sure i understand what you are talking about?

I think the mirror attaches to the car and not to the windshield directly.

If I am wrong, then maybe this will help you

HA HA! I just realized, if you had the button to take a picture of, you wouldn't be asking for our help. Sorry about that

That's great you could find the part. I would never guess it would be round and not triangle like most.

I ended up searching for "Lexus Rear View Mirror mount"

really? when i look at Ebay at the sc430 rear view mirrors the mirrors themselves have the same setup as mine in the rear, with the spring with the four prongs. unless that fits into a triangular button then something is amiss somewhere. a quick search of 2002 sc430 rear view mirror on ebay shows the rear of the mirrors and the identical set up as mine..hmmm now you have me thinking.

No, you are probably right. I am far from a mirror expert.

I just remember when I had my windshield changed on my Non Lexus, they were traditionally triangle.

If you think it is round and the listing says Lexus, I would trust yourself and the listing, more than I trust me.

it is definitely round and the one in your thread is definitely it. if you still have that sc430 in your pic then just take a look through the windshield you will see what i am talking about..and you are right. since i am dealing with this issue now i an scratching my head as to why the designed it this way. it is probably a lot simpler if they just did it where it slides of and on instead of twist then pull off. the spring gets bent and the round button gets chewed up
