WSVC206, that looks similar to work done by Musical Indulgence here in Maple Valley. Install looks clean and professional. Nice work! Can you recommend an installer in King County to install an Apple Carplay system in our 2006?

@Bgw70

I received my pioneer avh-W4400NEX and beatsonic today and will attempt the install.

i have everything unpacked and have a few basic questions

1. Pioneer AV input has various connectors. I do not see a label for “front left” and “front right” to connect to beat sonic just “front output”, “audio input”, “subwoofer input” as well as rear and other ancillary cables.

2. How exactly do you connect beatsonic L/R speaker connectors to the new head unit since they are different connector types. Are you just supposed to Insert the smaller beatsonic connectors into the red/white AV inputs?

3. Where exactly do you input the red yellow orange blue accessory wires for antenna backlight etc?

4. Do I need to solder any wires here or is this supposed to be plug and play?

Does that make sense?

Can I jump in here? I am about to do the very same install in my 2003. Two questions...
1. I understand using the splitter for the dual video from the backup camera but I'm not clear how you have two different pictures on the radio/nav screens. My objective is to have the backup video on the upper screen while the lower screen displays the radio functions.

2. Was it necessary to remove the rear seat side panels? I'll admit, I would like to check on those speakers. I replaced the foam on the sub and 6X9's but the 4's sound okay.

I solely use the windshield antenna. I had an old GM antenna adapter on hand from a car I had many years ago that I put an aftermarket head unit it, it works perfect, same size.

I really like this Pioneer AVH-2330NEX. Better than the AVH-X5700BHS.

I have the 5700 that I am happy with. Why do you prefer the 2330? If its a better performer, I might have to upgrade.

Bag everything from each area and it will make it easier during reassembly.

I removed this part but it wasn’t required.

I am sorry..my mistake. My previous car I put in a AVH X5700 BHS and now in this SC I have a AVIC Z150BH. After a while the models numbers get hazy!
Both units worked flawlessly, happy with both.

that is a very NICE high end unit!

i like the AVH-X5700BHS but prefer the AVH-2330NEX because it has Apple Car Play. When I purchased the AVH-X5700BHS, I don’t think I knew about Apple Car Play.
neither has GPS but both allow me to use transfer the WAZE GPS app to the radio screen.

1. I only display the backup camera on the upper screen. The upper screen has two channels, one for OEM NAV and the other was added with the BeatSonic, I switch between the two channels using the steering wheel mode button.
the upper screen can display, OEM Nav, backup camera or a movie from the radio...all while you are using the radio normally.
i hope that answers your question.

2. I don’t think I needed to remove the rear side panels, I probably removed too many items to do the install.
nothing is difficult to remove.

here is another thread on what you can display on the upper NAV screen...this is my 2002 SC430

we need one for the NAVIGATION in our cars LoL
BG- If I am reading the Beatsonic documentation correctly, I just ground the PKB to the frame. Where does the Micro bypass come in to play?

If using a lot navigation through Android Auto, Apple Carplay, or built-in it's definitely better to have it on the upper screen. Or your phone mounted at that same eye level. The head unit is so low it's not good to take your eyes so low while driving That much exra time you are not looking at whats going on in front of you.

the micro bypass is for the Pioneer radio. It makes the radio think you are stopped and then will allow a movie to be played anytime.
