AC light blinking
Just indtalled new ac compressor. Ac works while driving. Coming to stop or at idke, ac blonks n compressor off. Radiator fan runs. Installed new ac relay fuse. Turn on ac to manual, but when slowing diwn or stop. Ac light blinks. Ac control- no error cide. Is it the rpm sensor in compressor? How can i verify it? Thanks

check the ground...see thread. This will most likely be a common Toyota problem and not specific to the SC430.

Also, I just looked at my fuse relay block and noticed several fuses that are the same part number as the compressor, swap a known good relay with your new compressor relay.
A/C compressor.

is it new or rebuilt and what brand?
did you vacuum the system?
how many ounces of Freon did you use?
did you use gauges or just a can gauge?
did you add oil to the system or did the compressor come with new oil?
Here is another good thread on this subject.

Based on your symptoms, I think your R-134 levels aren't right. Either too high or too low.

Our Camry was doing the blinking AC light. It would work fine as long as we were moving. But if it was hot outside and we came to a stop for a while (like at a traffic light), the ac would quit and the light would blink. They replaced the relay. I'll see today on the way home if it fixed it.

When you say there were no codes, did you use a obdii reader, or did you use the AC self check?
I think you should try the self check. Click here and read all about it, including what each code means: https://us.lexusownersclub.com/forum...3794-ac-codes/
The procedure is as follows:
RETRIEVING CODES
1) Simultaneously press and hold AUTO and recirculated air
switches.
1a). Turn ignition on. All indicators will flash 4
times, at one-second intervals. Tone will sound when indicators flash.
2) A/C system will enter self-diagnostic mode. To end
indicator check, press and release OFF switch. Read codes at
temperature display.
3) If trouble code is displayed, proceed to appropriate
trouble shooting procedure. See DIAGNOSTIC CODE IDENTIFICATION table.
Codes are displayed in ascending order. To slow rate at which codes
are displayed, press fresh air button to change display to step
operation. Each time fresh air button is pressed, display changes by
one step.
4) If tone sounds as code is displayed, problem currently
exists. If tone does not sound as code is displayed, problem occurred
in past and does not presently exist.

What is going through my mind is you saying the fans don't come on till after you stop. So that means it's coming on because of increased engine temperature. The fans should come on when the ac is on irregardless of you moving or sitting still. this would mean even while move the ac condenser isn't being cooled sufficiently. It's cooled enough to work while moving but not, Cool enough for maximum efficiency. This means as soon as you stop moving the temperature quickly rises to high for the ac to operate. Even with the fans kicking on it can't by itself compensate fast enough. So one needs to find out why the fans aren't turning on in conjunction with the ac turning on. That's my opinion on this situation.

No codes with obd n ac check. Radiator is working. I believe the problem is mu idle speed dropping to 600 rpm while drive at rest, causing the ac compeessor to shut off and ac llight blinking. When i start to drive (rpm above 800). Have to manual turn back ac to work again

Was everything working on your car properly before the compressor change?
Are there ANY codes in your system, even if they aren't AC codes?

vsc code came up. reset everything and has not return, idle speed better at 800 at park, then 600 when in drive gear. still ac blinks when idle 600. when i start moving, just turn off/on the ac to make it work again. otherwise no codes with scanner or ac panel.
