Just curious Age of SC 430 owners and your Mods ?
Gang
I notice with the 430,you hear a lot of the owners rarely
do much of “ Mods” others than your typical speaker repair
LED tights upgrade and maybe no R/Flats
With the 400, I see more of them modified
I wondered if the 430 appeals to a different crowd
than the SC 400
I will start off
Age 53
LED Tail lights upgrade
Replaced R/Flats
Replaced Speakers
Tinted windows( Very soon)
upgrade Stars Covers
Otherwise, my SC is original

Good topics. I’m 65, still working. Mods to my beloved SC:
- Backup cam
- LED DRLs
- LED interior, trunk and backup
- Shark fin antenna
- Lexus logo shadow lights
- 20% tinted all around
- Monster cassette adapter
- CD slot phone holder
Still have R/Fs. I don’t see the need to replace them.

I’m 75 and have owned my 2007 Lexus SC430 for 7 years. Love it and have made no modifications to it. Probably will dump the rf tires when they need to be replaced. I may also replace the antenna, it’s a pain in the ***.

I'm 61, owned the car 12 years, most bulbs changed to LEDs, replaced the RF with standard and added the spare tire kit. Everything else have been repairs so far.

I'm 64 and have had my 2004 for 6 years. Nothing major in the way of mods engine / suspension wise.
I have upgraded to the GEN4 Navigation system, replaced the pie plate wheel covers with the twisties, added a backup camera and Bluetooth for phone use while driving and a long range Viper remote start system with keyless entry. It already had non run-flat tires with an incorrect size spare so I got a correct sized temporary spare. Everything else has been regular maintenance, tires, brakes, struts, bulbs, TPMS sensors, filters, spark plugs, radiator, new leather for the front seats, etc.

44. Bought a year and half ago. Will ditch the run flats this year. Antenna needs replacing. Would like to get rid of the pie plates but haven't yet. Other than that everything is still original. Fun car! It's my daily car unless I need to take more than one kid somewhere - then I take my minivan. Kinda of hard getting two teenagers in the car plus me as the driver when I'm the shortest one in my family.

Wow.. I can already see most SC 430 owners are very different
from the SC 400 owners.
When I looked at the 400, it appears most of that vintage Lexus
Is typically heavy modified by the owners to the suspension,
seats, Stero system and engine.
wheras with the 430, it appeals to a Different type of owners
even as the 430 has started to age a bit more over time.

I forgot to add at some point I would like to add in back up camera and the stereo to have some type of ipod integration. My car needed some repairing (timing belt, water pump, engine mounts, starter) - we put almost 4k into the car just in getting the car in good driving condition. We got it at a great deal because the owner knew there was a lot of work that had to be done. And we knew the owner. So had to do the important stuff before getting to any fun stuff.

Looks like I'm the outlier here. I'm 29 and have had the SC430 for 9 months. Upgraded from a heavily modified SC400.
Only mod done so far is a full Borla catback exhaust (custom). Bluetooth adapter from Amazon. Still have the run flats and will replace them as soon as they wear out. Looking at getting Work wheels and coilovers or air suspension. Still haven't decided which is the better route.
