Lexus has reputation of reliability and low maintenance, how do u rate SC430 among all other Lexus models?
Which Lexus model holds resale value the highest?
What other cars are considered the closest comparison to SC430 and their resale value?

I don;t see much difference between the SC430 and LS430 in terms of reliability. The roof on the SC makes it different than the LS430 in that while the roof systems rarely fail, if they do, it appears to not be very easy to diagnose and repair inexpensively. I think the SC430 is up there with the best of various Lexi models in terms of retaining value over the years. I don't think there is a direct one for one comparison with any specific other brand hardtop convertible in terms of size, seats, engine, etc. - all are pretty unique. For instance comparing SC430 with same as Porshe 911 or Mazda Miata does not work as they are all too different in intended use.
No idea about other cars and brands in terms of retaining value. My experience is that very few other brands have same reliability and build quality as Lexus over the years. I previously drove top end Acura models for 20+ years and continue to be amazed at the huge increase in build quality and materials going from Acura to Lexus.

I've had mine for 13 years and it's just been fabulous. I bought it with 33K on it and it now has 113K. Regular maint and no major problems. Just the usual wear and tear items. Shocks/struts, tires, engine mounts, trunk lid hydraulic piston, brakes, etc.
Cost? I don't know what it would have been if my son wasn't a Lexus mechanic. He was always a perfectionist and would replace things he thought weren't perfect. He bought at cost and installed then no charge - except it always came back with no gas in it! Kids!

I have a similar situation, car-wise (not mechanic-wise). I have a 2002 that I've owned for 12 years bought at about 33k miles and now has about 125k miles, with only expected type of maintenance. (Tires, batteries, belts, power steering pump leak, top motor and what appears to be an alternator now.)

Amazing cars . . . I had two SC 400 coupes prior to buying my '02 SC430 a little over a year ago from a gentleman who drove regularly but sparingly (21K miles only!!). I have driven it now about 14K miles and like my 2 earlier coupes absolutely nothing has gone wrong. I have it serviced regularly (oil changes, etc.) and I'm sure it will keep humming along to way past 100K miles.
