Dennis, just double click on “keys.exe” then tun Techstream. If it worked, you will not see the registration page.

No Joy. I failed once again to get my techstream up and running. I download Firefox to another laptop running vista because I could not get on club lexus using the mini which is running IE to download Bgw70 Link. I then downloaded the link to a thumb drive from that computer and downloaded it to the mini. Everything appeared to go along fine. I moved the main menu.exe file and the key.exe file into the Techstream folder per the instructions. Plugged into the SC and got the same window wanting me to register the software. Plugged in the key code when it asked for it and hit OK and got the same window all over again. I could not use the laptop with the Vista running because it is a 64 bit machine and I have the 32 bit mini VCI cable firmware.

Dennis,
Download this Techstream. It's already cracked and patched, you don't have to do anything. Just install.

Good luck

Dennis,
RAR or ZIP files are compressed files. You need to unrav them. Download free Winrav from google, install, then unrav those files. After that, ínall Téchtream.

No/None. I downloaded winrav and unzipped the rar files. I even loaded firefox on the mini XP computer so I could download it directly to the laptop I wanted to use and I still get the same message. I just cannot figure out what I am doing wrong?

I downloaded the files and installed the program.
Replaced the main.exe file in the “bin” folder
started the program
installed the provided key
it updated the expiration date in the lower left to 4999 days.

did you do these steps and was it the bin folder?

Dennis,
You need a clean installation. Completely uninstall everything then reinstall Techstream.
Better yet, go to Ebay and purchase the used laptop with Win XP. I saw one sell for $39.99.
Follow the steps in the post 1 of this thread. You should be OK.

If you buy the software from this guy, he will install it for you. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Latest-Tech...kTOP:rk:3:pf:0 He will even put it on a 64 bit machine.

Of course there is always a HUGE risk turning over control of your computer to a stranger, but it is cheaper than taking it to the geek squad.

Also, if you use the computer exclusively for techstream and NEVER hook it up to the internet, your risk is limited.

BGW & GMan, got any opinion on doing this?

Daryl,
Dennis problem is his computer failed to run the key file. Like I said in previous post, he need to completely uninstall the previous Techstream and install the new one. He doesn't need to buy new software. He best bet is to buy a new cheap notebook with Win XP and install the software.

Dennis
Try this firs before uninstall Techstream. You need to change the TISFuntion from 1 to 0.
Go to
C:\Program files\Toyotata Diagnostics\Techstream\Env\IT3TSystem.ini
Change
TISFunction= 1 to TISFunction=0
Save

See if it works.

BINGO, I AM IN

Bgw70 and GmanSC thank you so much for hanging in there with me. Bgw70 It appears that I keep missing moving the main menu.exe fill into the bin folder.. GmanSC thanks for that link with everything in place. You guys saved my butt. So many times I was ready to bounce this XP laptop off the wall. So now that I have a working copy what am I looking for and how do I use it?

Dennis
