Default all oil has leaked after valve cover gasket replaecement

hello i my sc430 has been leaking oil for some time now but it wasnt that serious. I read in one of the post that many CL members reported loose valve cover bolts so i recently inspected mine and they were loose on both sides aswell so i ended up replacing my gaskets since my car just hit 110k miles. i replaced the passenger side valve cover gasket and got a mechanic that i found on Offerup to do the driver side on Saturday. 2 days later after sitting over the weekend i drove my car for about 10 minutes and noticed white smoke escaping out the hood so i proceeded
to pull over and inspect it. after checking the dipstick they was little to no oil in the motor so i added some to notice it all leaking out. I jacked the car up and seen the leak was coming from the driver side (the side the mechanic worked on) of the motor around the valve cover but couldnt see exactly where. if the valve cover gasket was replaced incorrectly will that cause all the oil to escape or did this mechanic potentially damage a hose or something similiar?????

A big enough gap in a valve cover gasket can result in a large amount of oil leaking out. Suggest you not drive the car until you can remove the valve cover and inspect and likely replace the gasket.

Just FYI, there is no hoses or anything similar on the engine for the oil route.

It’s serious problem, I would take the car back to the mechanic immediately. Driving without engine oil can ruin your car.

I usually agree with GmanSC, but not this time. I'd take the car to virtually any OTHER mechanic immediately.

sorry had a busy week, i ended up redoing the valve cover gasket , when i opened up the valve cover, the lower section of the gasket was hanging loosely out of the seams which was the root of the problem causing the leak when i added oil. From what it looked like it, the gasket had to come loose from the valve cover's seams as the mechanic was trying to put it back on after replacing the gasket because when i was putting back on the new gasket (i ended up buying a oem valve cover gasket and spark plug tube gaskets) it was a BITC# to put it back on. The amount of space was so minimal to reinstall the valve cover, it was a JOKE LOL i really hated life for about 10 minutes trying to get it back on with all the wires and the cables from the coils in the way. However i now have a lot of oil all over the bottom components of the engine (rack a pinion , alternator etc.) i was able to wash out the excess gunk from the top part of the motor but does anybody have any suggestions to clean under the engine? i live in apartments so i have to go to a carwash and cant lift the car there LOL

You could take a couple of car ramps with you and drive up on them at the car wash.
