2nd gen SC430 Antenna mast.
003 sc430 antenna motor
I was lucky enough to pick up a 2003 SC430 with low miles (love it).
The antenna was broken and I grabbed a mast with the notches line. I took apart the motor to remove the old broken line. But when I feed the new one in, it pulls it all the way in and keeps running. I've taken the housing apart several times now, but I can't pull off the final step.
should I cut the white notched line to make it shorter? Any ideas? (And yes, I've watched the videos on YouTube...they leave out a couple of steps regarding the collar.)

i then put it back in the trunk, mounted it and turned off the radio and fed the new antenna nylon white rope into the motor. It pulled it all the way back in and stopped.
i do know there is a Lexus procedure here somewhere. It has you push certain buttons on the radio to feed the new antenna into the motor.
look in the stickies above this thread to do a search for that procedure.
