2005 SC 430 18 inch Spare Tire
In looking on ebay for a spare tire for Steve's 2005 SC 430 everything appears to be 17 inch. It appears from the spec sheet that his tires were switched out at the port for 18 inch run flat's. So were the original tires on the SC's 17 inch when it left the factory and changed over to 18 inch run flat's at the port? Do they make a 18 inch donut spare tire for the SC?

Are the spare tires on ebay listed for the SC 430 which are 17 inch not SC spare tires then? Did they just mount the run flat's on the SC when they got to port?

It only came with 245/40-18 tires. It’s listed in the owners manual and in the door jam...the spare might be listed there also.

As you can see from the link that BGW provided, the spare is 17".

I have 19 inch rims on my car and no spare tire. I was wondering if I needed a 19 inch spare.
In a past post, BGW linked me to a tire size calculator. It showed me that it is not the RIM SIZE that matters, but how tall the tire is. A 18 inch spare has more "Meat" on it than my 19 inch low profile tires, so the overall tire & rim size was very close.
Which all makes sense if you think about it. Bigger rims, give you more metal for your eyes to be attracted to, but don't make the tires too big for the wheel well. They make up the difference by shrinking down the amount of rubber.
