Can anyone identify the many different numbers of model for a 2002 cdt/tape/radio? My parts dept wants 2K for a 'new' one, and 1.3.K if they install a reman. I got burnt twice on a 'repaired' raido with bluetooth/aux, and baited by another ebayer with 'oh we can't fix it you have to buy one of our remanufactured ones". Before I go buy another OEM ($450 rebuilt on ebay, but I'm starting to think they're all a racket)...can anyone give info on which models work with 02? My tape door says something like P813 (that's prob. wrong,,photo is fuzzy!), and the sticker ontop has 86120-24390, which there is another variant (my Lex parts says there's one for RHD cars!), and my s/n is af008015. There's also FXMG8217 fx. Sorry to carry on at length here, but if anyone has chewed through all the radio variants, is there a way you can make a list to simplify? ALso, anyone you think is reputuable for buying a 'reman' unit? I don't want to buy a beat sonic harnes and aftermarket, as that's about 2K!!! Thanks

What is wrong with your radio? Is it the CD player or is there another problem?

You have to get one newer than 2005, since there is a harness difference. <- THIS STATEMENT IS FALSE, my mistake

If OP car is a 2002 then he needs a radio from 2002 to 2004. The 2005 had blue tooth and I don't think that radio will work in a 2002 I could be wrong

Not true . I have a 2002 and I'm using a 2007 radio. Works fine. It actually allowed me to add Grom Audio add on to allow bluetooth calls, bluetooth music with steering wheel control, and HD radio, aux input. Just saying none the less, I have a working spare 2002 radio.

2007 radio had blue tooth built in but I thought that a 2002 car would not have the ability to operate it because its missing the information button . That's why you added the grom I believe

Yes correct. Bluetooth does not work with the 2007 radio in my 2002, but I did buy it with the intent to use GROM. But one can add the OEM Bluetooth (which doesn't play music by the way) as Retro stated in another post you must also change the navigation screen to 2006+ (a few other smaller parts, i guess). None the less, by adding the 2007 radio, I got a lot more functionality than the standard 2002 radio and I'm pretty happy. So, as the original post was asking.. it is not completely necessary to find a 2002-2005 radio. A 2002 to 2009 radio will work in any 2002 (bc all these use the 7+5 BIG connector). Only 2010 went with a different harness (called the small 6+6 harness, if I recall correctly).

I have a 2003 head unit I would let the OP have for shipping costs. No issues when replaced by a more modern head unit. PM me here...

if you have a 2002 SC and do the 07 radio, yeah bud, sure it works with a 2/3 Nav set up disc player/box in back. What no one said on this site, and is old antiquated news apparently, is you gotta like do a an 07 NAV screen too, and indeed a cable NAV wire change from dash to new box. COUGH=it ain't worth it for me..I already lost $200 at Worst Buy Geeks who tried replacement of radio with a "bluetooth/aux" modified Lex 02 radio which wouldn't play a disc to save my spine! The seller is a Vietnamese engineer who was very legit and refunded all but my install costs, but he couldnl't even tell if the old disc player failed in transit or from his bench..they are old and fragile, apparently. The idea of spending the amount of 3 Iphone 8's to replace a 2002 sc radio is outlandish (see dealer for detail$$$$$$$).but to replace w. a Pioneer 8400 wireless carplay unit (which won't even play more than one disc, and never half the video/nav features if you're moving/"parking brake mode") is almost 2 grand with install too...what a waste. Does anyone have a really cute Japanese mini-boom box or microwave that would fit that double din spot?!?!?!! I am almost given up on ebay..there's one from Minnesota (the dealer that said they could not fix them-hint hint needless upgrade manuever), but on ebay's site they call it used, on their own its "recond" and elsewhere its "new, not orig. packaging"....so it's a sow's racket for a silk ear=does anyone know a legit dealer who will send a WORKING sc430 2002 P813 unit for less than a F$&$^#*( grand?!!!? sorry for ranting, bye-John, Natick (the ick tells all) MASS.
