I have a simple Bluetooth receiver and transmitter installed in my cigarette lighter, and it works great with my iPhone, but need to pick out an FM radio frequency that is not being used, which is ok but when traveling all of a sudden a new station will come on. If I could disconnect the radio antenna to keep it from going up whenever the radio is on, it would be great! Anyone know how to stop the antenna from going up when the radio is on??
Thanks, Ric

IIRC, RetroPlay recently showed the signals on the connector coming out of the receiver. One of those ought to be the power for the antenna. You could put a switch in-line on that line. (If it wasn't RetroPlay, it was one of the retrofit radio threads that discussed the power line that activates the power antenna.)

Recently acquired my 2002 SC430. I have read that the power antennas tend to fail over time - so I’m not surprised mine doesn’t work. I get such good reception I’m not going to bother replacing the antenna - but the antenna motor runs every time I turn the car off with the radio on. I looked up the antenna fuse (#19) except it powers several other items. So what’s the correct and/or best way to disable the antenna motor?
Thanks in advance.
