ES 1993 Lexus cant find a replacement and brake light is lit until I step on brake

I think that you meant to post on the ES forum, not the SC430 forum. Unless this is a new development without anyone touching the system, I'd guess that there is a switch hooked up backwards (connected to the NC/normally closed connection rather than the NO/normally open connection).

....I agree with Harold, probably the wrong forum.........but just in case, you check back, I might look into changing the brake light switch. These same symptoms happened to my wife's car & that was the issue
