Just maybe it needs gas. I assume she doesn't like to get gas. At least it made it to the circle K.

LoL, but I still had .173 gallons left in the tank!

Yep, I was lucky!
the station was only .5 miles from the house.

Not good to sift through the bottom of the tank...you'll never know what can be siphoned off...but good that you made it. Do we have an audible alarm for gas empty?

Would be glad to pay $3 a gallon. Gas is around $3.60 here in Northern California. Premium is about $4.

LoL, the only audible alarm is when the engine goes silent! ;-)

I know it’s not good, but The was a first for me...

BTW, we had another thread about how far you had befor the tank was empty, I would say about 25-30miles on the 2002.
i think we have 17gal tanks and you saw how much it took.

I thought it was 19.x gallons that it holds? Normally you have a gallon or so on reserve when a gauge says dead empty.

I can't believe she could do that to you. Imagine, leaving the radio on a country music station.

Glad to see that you made it to the gas station without incident. I've never gotten that low but did drop down into the single digits one time in the past before realizing just how low it was. It was a little nerve wracking especially with the realization that I really don't know just how much that I can trust the accuracy of that gauge and not knowing what kind of traffic snafus that I am likely to encounter on the way to the closest station.

With the hotter weather, the fuel pump relies on the gasoline to cool it. I say give her hell.

As far as stuff at the bottom of the tank. With the poly tanks, and non bypass gas filters at the gas pump. There's not much sediment in gas tanks anymore. Steel tanks would corrode, and that corrosion would settle in the tank. Drain a poly tank these days and you're hard pressed to find much settled matter. It's how they were able to eliminate externally mounted gas filters, and not have issues. What would be bad is running it dry. Running any pump dry can quickly kill it.

It’s 19.8 gal. Fill the tank till it stop then you’d know how much gas you have left.
