Default Cruise control problem

Hello all....cruise control not working...engage button cruise light is blinking slowly on dash rather than solid... any ideas??? Thanks!

I assume you checked all fuses.

Does the car have any other symptoms, like a check engine light? Or an ABS light?

My first thought is Wheel Speed sensor and second thought is a vacuum leak. Any other symptoms that play into either of those theories?

Disconnect the battery. System might reset itself if you’re lucky.

Problems can be in the CCtrl switch itself, the spiral cable, the brake lamp switch, speed sensor circuit or an ECM controller. So there are a few points of failure.

Did a reset disconnecting battery.....got lucky.. good for now....thanks guys!
