Steering wheel shake over bumps gone, 2003 SC430
I know this has been covered but sometimes it's hidden within a thread.
My new to me 2003 w/ 44,000 miles had issues when on rough roads or hitting any kind of bump. Horrible steering wheel shake making me want to park the car rather than drive it.
I purchased
The wheel shimmy that made me regret purchasing the car is gone. The 15 year old struts, while looking ok, were toast, no rebound when compressed at all.
Bring on fall and top down weather!!

KYB 341266 Excel-G Gas Strut X 2
, rented a spring compressor tool and grunted away. Removing the old units tested me but it's done.The wheel shimmy that made me regret purchasing the car is gone. The 15 year old struts, while looking ok, were toast, no rebound when compressed at all.

Glad to see that you got it resolved. Also good to know one of the first things to go after when the shimmy shows up.
