Default Jack positions

Hello all.....interested in knowing the best placement spots for a jack, other than the 4 listed in the owners manual, to raise the front &/or rear end to lift both tires at once....all the work I've done only required my ramps....doing a brake job and needless to say my ramps won't work............Thanks

Do you have jack stands? I wouldn't be without them. You only need to lift one corner at a time, put the stand under it, and then lift the second corner. Plus - you need both wheels off the ground for a brake job? You can only work on one wheel at a time.

Yes I have stands and would lift one side at a time, I was interested in other structurally sound points to jack car up besides the side rails...

How about the rear end pumpkin or the crossmember on the front end?

drive it up on ramps and look around, you can see where it is sturdy.

also, I use a rubber hockey puck in the center of my jack so there is never metal to metal contact.

I also take off both wheels when doing a brake job for the first time just so I have something other than a picture to reference in case I mix something up :+).

I like the idea of a hockey puck, I have just been using a wooden block.
