Yes the extra weight requires stronger gas struts. If the original rear spoiler was removed it would lift okay on the original struts.

I didn't quite achieve the look I was after. Here is a pic of the prototype that grew too big.

If I could find the time, I would try to make a third version to match the shape and lines of the original boot spoiler so that the top spoiler finishes directly above the lower one.




I respect all who hold the view that 'classic' is best but despite being so well made, I felt that Lexus missed the mark with the majority of its fan-base with this version of the Soarer. I suspect only those who owned an earlier Soarer/SC400 would fully appreciate the values and heritage.

This looks like a Seibon Wing that is made for a Z. At the same time, both the Z and the SC430 have that curved trunk!
