Default Replaced Shifter Assembly

Just wanted to share my work for this afternoon. Second time going into my 2006 SC430 to replace OEM parts (the first time was to replace OEM radio with the same OEM unit that I had bought from eBay which was in near mint condition, mine has been showing wear and corrosion). This time I replaced the shifter indicator assembly. Lexus dealer told me the entire assembly would need to be replaced for $1k+ (LOL) whereas i was able to order the OEM part online for under $200 shipped. I reused the VSC and the other button from my previous unit since they were working fine and were not weather stained.

By the way, does anyone know the part number for the shift slide cover (the rubber part that moves along when you shift on the indicator. A small piece cracked and I would like to replace it as well).

Why all the corrosion ? You must leave your top down a lot and it must be getting wet ?

I purchased the car like that, unfortunately previous owner did not take care of the interior. Both my radio and shifter trim were discolored. The car is otherwise in good condition.
