Any idea where I can buy Denso motors, or have mine rebuilt?

My car was in a rear end accident before I bought it. I was getting a pulse width modulation error when I tried to open my top. I think this means the motors aren't running at the same speed. I replaced the hinge and it worked for a year. Now I have it again. My first thought was that it is the hinge I replaced. But now I think my problem is my motors are un-evenly worn. I want to buy two new motors or have my two motors rebuilt.

Any Ideas where I can get a Denso 162000-6552 motor? and a 162000-6800 motor?

Darryl, do you have any pics with the motor removed from the assembly?
what does the shaft and/or gear look like?
we also need to know the RPMs of the motor.

I wonder if there is a suitable substitute...are these motors required to bring a tremendous amount of torque?

Thanks for your help BGW. I will take apart the motor and take some pics when I get home. Do you think the 11c & 10C on the motors might have something to do with the rotational speed?

The motors take down the roof, by a process of gears. I assume it requires a decent amount of torque, but I don't know

that is a good question...11c and 10c certainly mean something.

i thought about the torque also and know these must kind of powerful...but remember, if the motor turned at say 5000 RPMs, you could really reduce the gears and produce a substantial amount of torque.

there has to be another use for that motor!
