Retractable roof failure
Hi
Can anyone tell me if you replace the roof control ECU , is it a plug and play or does the unit have to be coded to the car , i have been told by Lexus specialists it is plug and play , but the Lexus main dealer says it must be coded to the car before it will work !!!!!!!

I would GUESS that it does not need to be coded, since it does not control any anti-theft accessories.

the dealer says it was an ecu and that it needs coding to the car , the specialist says it dosnt , new 1500 dollars , second hand 200 dollars
