Default Love my SC430

Just bought my 2002 SC430 from Houston Direct Auto, and love it! At 105k miles, it's an incredible value under $10k. I'm back to being the "cool dad," since my daughter's friend was so impressed riding in the front seat with the top down.

Wow I don't think I had seen one without the rear spoiler before. I knew it was an option, but pretty much decided they all came with it anyway.

Congratulations on the new car, enjoy.

Only a “hint” of a spoiler. Thanks!

i looked at a lot of other cars before choosing this particular SC430. Though I wanted a luxury sports car, I preferred one that Could carry backseat passengers in a pinch--and I do mean "pinch!" And though I like the looks of black exterior and interior, I live in Houston, and those colors are killers in the Summer! Silver with a light beige interior is perfect.

Nice car; I have the silver but with the black interior. I think you have a rare model; without the spoiler and it appears also without the factory navigation. I don't see the usual nav. door next to the A/C vent. I wonder if it might have sold originally to Canada? The only other one I've seen online without the only two options available ( spoiler and nav ) was in Canada.
Looks very nice!

Thanks for your insight. From what I can find online, the first Lexus built outside of Japan was the RX330.
From Wikipedia on Lexus:
Lexus vehicles are largely produced in Japan, with manufacturing centered in the Chūbu and Kyūshū regions, and in particular at Toyota's Tahara, Aichi, Chūbu and Miyata, Fukuoka, Kyūshū plants. Assembly of the first Lexus built outside the country, the Ontario, Canada-produced RX 330, began in 2003.

Check your door frame for the date of birth. I suspect that you'll find that it was manufactured in 2001. I believe that is when the non-NAV versions were made.

Yes, indeed, you are correct. Built in Japan March of 2001. It's an antique!

My Wife's was built August 2001 & has all the Bells & Whistles. In Australia ours is referred to as the 2001, where it's probably referred to as the 2002 in the States?

Chris.....From OZ.

Default 2002

Yes, it’s dubbed a 2002. Are the original nav systems still operational?
