I had a shop put in a pioneer and a beat sonic. They glued the mic under the dash at the drivers side in the small radius area. Works very well.
the pioneer has a very good equalizer and a range expander built in.
When I move the top screen can still show either a dvd if set on or the nav screen switched by the mode switch.
the arrows on the steering wheel, as stated, is the front to rear fader.
my understanding is cutting the wire has the nav unit mislocate itself during use.
mine does not lose location.
if no dvd playing the mode button shows a black screen or the nav.
like the metra faceplate. Ordered one now. Thanks.
the pioneer available then, if memory serves me, had more sophisticated equalizer controls and the expander.
Something else but my memory eludes me. Oh, a standard remote.
I adjust the stereo between different sources and am able to have a fairly responsive system overall with normal inputs.
Two usb plugs one with CarPlay the other just power.
i think a alpine unit is the only one I researched that can keep the rear antenna down while playing non radio sources like the oem?
if I power off the pioneer the antenna does go down for car washes if memory serves me.
be better if it worked like the oem radio as far as the antenna?
does the 4400 control the antenna differently than my 4200?
or did the last pioneee update address that issue.
reports on the internet that the 4400 may sense vehicle movement and turn off videos unless you do not connect the gps antenna and the vss? Whatever that is,
