Now that I have my spare tire conversion kit installation completed I am looking to replace my Pirelli P Zero-Nero run flat tires which have around 10-12,000 miles on them but have a DOT Code of 39th week of 2012 and need to go because of age with non run flat tires. I have searched this forum asking the same question many different ways. What non run flat tires are SC owners recommending? I have the Pirelli P 7's in a 245/45 19 on the LS and have been very happy with them. However in the 245/40 18's they come with no tread warranty. Looking for some feedback and experiences. Not looking for any high performance rated tire as that is not how I anticipate the DW driving the SC. Would like something that is quite running down the freeway at 70 mph.

I know many members went with Michellin AS3. That’s what I will do when the time comes but I will go with AS4, Costco price around $850 out the door ( including $70 instance discount).

The Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3 Plus seems to be the most popular. I got a similar price at Discount Tire as I would have at Costco for the Michelin (DT was closer and has more locations). A Continental tire has been recommended also but I don't remember the specific number. Both perform well. The Continental usually is a bit cheaper.

I have the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus tires which have a non directional tread pattern that result in a quiet ride. They also grip well in wet weather and their tread life is pretty good or what I would classify as better than average.
Also if you put in few key words in Google, like "lexus sc430 replace run flat tires" and maybe Michelin or another brand name of tire depending on how far you want drill down, the search results will list threads in the forum.

I still have plenty of miles left on my current Michelin's but from the reviews, I'm fairly sure what I'll be buying when the time comes (Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus).
Tire Rack have a nice review and comparison of them. Bob

The Conti that people sometimes recommend is the DWS 06. I had the older version of this tire ( just DWS ) after I got rid of my P Zero Nero RFTs and they are pretty good when new. After about 25-30k miles, they got real loud. Now running BF Goodrich Comp 2 AS from Costco. Poor man's Michelin. They work just fine.

Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3 Plus on my SC430. Great tire plus smooth ride and very quiet.

I got Barum Bravuris tires from my local tire store. They're all weather and since I don't drive fast or corner very hard they've been quite acceptable. Online reviews were good and they're manufactured by Continental. I was interested in the Pilot Sport tires but these were a lot less expensive

Dennis, I'm also running the Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus on my 2006 SC430. I like the Pirelli's on my LS, but for the SC, the tire most recommended on the forum is the Michelin. Note that I had the Continental Pure Contact tires on my SC previously (also commonly recommended, and less expensive), but they would "flat-spot" after sitting for just a day or so, and my car would thump along for the first couple of miles every time I used it, which got annoying. I haven't had any flat-spotting issues with the A/S 3 plus tires at all...

Around 12-14 inches total... This has been a pretty rough winter here in Nebraska! Reminds me of how it was when I was growing up here in the 60s/70s. Supposed to get an ice storm on Saturday followed by 3-5 inches of snow, followed by 40 mph winds... Nothing over freezing showing up on the 15 day forecast... Can't wait for Spring!
