Finally drove the sc for a few hundred miles yesterday.

The cars overall stiffness improved especially on medium rate turns and undulating roads where different bumps on each side were driven over.

the 45’s has less feedback on square edges. Still there but less. I feel it’s the shock dampening. Too much on high speed compression and not enough on low speed. No progression. Blows through the travel.

Meister mentioned the shock springs are too long. Rate is ok. Just long. Short springs get harder quicker I understand.

tried squaring off a tight turn at low speed. Lots of body roll. Less than before but still not a turner.

I bought a set of front Gabriel struts that may fit my 08. Inexpensive. Will try them just to see if the different valving helps.

pretty sure the coil overs are needed.

Subject to more testing it seems the shocks and springs are holding the cars handling back and actually make the car ride rougher on bad roads.

Anyone have feedback on what I think I am noticing on our 08 and if a shock and spring coilover change fixed the issues?

car has 33k miles on it now.

Thanks for anyone’s help in advance.

Just a quick note as I am looking to also replace the run flats on my car. If you go with a 235/45/18 it cuts it down to only a 2.3‰ difference vs a 3.9% with a 245/45/18. Michelin Primacy is an absolute favorite. Also the Pirelli P7 Plus is an excellent tire with exceptional treadlife and traction. It's too bad Costco does not carry the P7.
