I think the car was made for the 45’s as the speedo is now dead on and the shocks while terrible work better. Marketing put on the 40’s to help the wallow handling.

The bigger sway bars do not appreciably detract from the ride quality in our car.

find a set as fast as you can as things to fit these are fading from being old.

the sc 430 was and is fixable. Sway bars, luxlink, pioneer AVH, beatsonic, 45 series Michelin tires, Akebono ceramic brake pads(noticeable stronger, more progressive brakes from just the fronts only).

still to go is the coilovers and rear Akebono ceramic brakes. Race car brakes with the fronts only. Put front and rears on the LS and made the same difference.

I need to install a new oem windshield as the aftermarket brown tint glass blocked some light at night. Plus pits easily. Plus let’s too much heat in and the black dash gets hot

Hi Bob, I am considering changing to 245/45 r18 tires on my SC430 to soften the ride and fill the guards a little, but am concerned that at launch / off-the mark, acceleration will be slower due to the larger tires. What has been your experience with taking-off from a stand-still with the taller tires?

Hi Lavrishevo, looks great. I am considering going to 245/45 tires on my SC430, but am concerned that will affect the off-the-mark performance. How have the taller tires affected your acceleration from a standing start?

I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in acceleration.

check out this thread. Several of us got the Pirelli tire when it was at a closeout low price. You can see my gold Lexus and couple of other SC430 with the tires.

I just purchased an '06 with new Pirelli PZero Run Flats. They ride rough. I've read that they should not be driven in ambient temps of 45 or below. While I don't plan on driving the car in the snow, I do plan on driving it when it's cold out (ie: below 45) and everything I've read said it's dangerous & not to. So I think that, sometime in the fall, I should switch to All Seasons. Looking to stay with the same size, but want a grand touring tire that gives a smooth & comfortable ride (going for luxury here!). I read that Vredenstein Quatrac Pro are good. Anyone replace their summer rubber with all-seasons and, like me, were looking more for ride comfort/no noise than handling (since it will never see a snowy road)? If so, what brand/type?

Many of us have the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3.

I wanted the absolute most comfortable, quiet ride possible. Coming from an LS, those guys are pretty crazy about their tire thread. And the consensus was the Pirelli P7 All Season Plus.

I have those on my car.

Put a set of the Vredesteins on my wife's Audi TT though! Pretty good tire IMO.
