Engine light bulb was ripped off
Hi,
I live in France (so sorry for my english)...
My engine light bulb (cluster) was broken (ripped off).
Do you know if it's possible to replace it ? I don't know the reference.
It's very important for me because the light engine must work for the technical inspection in France.
Thanks
My model is a SC430 2003

Is the entire speedometer, also called the “combination meter” gone/stolen? Or is it just damaged?
Using google translate.....
L’indicateur de vitesse complet, également appelé «compteur combiné», at-il été volé? Ou est-ce juste endommagé?

Just damaged.
The former/previous owner had put silicone in the hole to hide the engine light. removing the silicone, I tore the bulb of the engine light .....
And my "computer assy" reference is : 83800-24170 (km/h only). Do you know if I can buy an other speedometer in England (miles + km/h) with the reference : 83800-24180 ? It will be compatible ?
If yes, I can install this used speedometer to do my technical inspection...

I was going to suggest Tanin. They sponsor the Lexus Club and their members have achieved positive results. In addition, a new or used speedometer would most likely present a mileage problem if inspectors keep records. If Tanin can not fix it, they know how to reset the counter used.

Thank you for your help.
I will contact tanin if I can not find another solution. Because I'm sure they can help me but shipping costs to send my speedometer to the US should not be cheap....
In France we have meter specialists but they are not used to working with Lexus because it is a weakly sold brand

Can you take a picture of the damage. There is a good chance you can fix it. You just need a bulb in the spot that can light up.
Otherwise, I believe the speedometer from England should work. I assume they both work on a european standard. Is this the one you are talking about?https://www.ebay.fr/itm/Lexus-SC430-...4AAOSwLM5bD-5k
A speedometer specialist can probably fix your speedometer. Even though it is a lexus, it is really a Toyota Design. Chances are, they are only going to solder in an led or light bulb

Hello, This is exactly what model I bought.
I want to use the "bulb" of the English version to solder it on my French speedometer. It should work.
The speedometer specialist who looked at my speedometer (he is apparently not very good as a specialist according to the opinion ...) needed to know the voltage / electric tension of these bulbs to order the right ... . If you have this information it would allow me to order only the missing bulb without having to disassemble that of the English speedometer ...
I also contacted another specialist who is much better recognized. He would simply know the electrical diagram of the speedometer at the connector/ping to plug it "on the table" to test without having the SC430 with him.
So if you also have the schematics for the speedometer spindles.
And this is my french speedometer : http://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=19/25/fe6e.jpg ( 83800-24170)
I hope that my translation is understandable and thank you in advance.
Ps :
I take this opportunity to show you my baby lol (it is a very rare model in France. I never met on the road) :

Thumbs up for Tanin
Tanin does great work. When I sent the core back I was dismayed but not surprised how much the original was monkeyed with. There maybe more problems with your cluster under the covers.
Tip - with the broken display, take the car to an official inspection station; in most states, anyway, a mileage/kilometer reading will be taken and registered. Then Tanin can set the speedometer to a small increment more than was recorded officially. Then you have an official mileage record, as far as I know, on CarFax or its French equivalent.
Someone correct me if I am wrong. I don't want cause a diplomatic incident!

What year model is your car? I ask because the tail lamps in the video are 2006+ but the photo of speedometer is from the 2002-05 year models. If the tail lamps were changed without changing the board in the luggage compartment, the tail lamp out indicator light on the speedometer will light up. Because the lamps are LEDs and the 02-05 lamps were incandescent bulbs.

My year modèle is 2003. And yes, I changed the tail lamps without changing the board.
I have the indicator light but I have hidden with a small piece of felt (carpet)
For the inspection, in France we haven't "carfax" (US) or carpass (like Belgium).
I think the simplest solution would be to recover the Light "warning engine" of the English speedometer to weld it on my french speedometer
