Default Time for a new rack and pinion

Well, I was hoping it would not be the case. My steering rack bushings just arrived but I found oil on one of the bellows and stopped the installation. Passenger side is just starting to leak. Buggers. Maval seems to be best quality solution for a rebuilt rack I have found. Any other opinions?

Rebuild yours? RockAuto carries seal kits and remanufactured units too.

I thought about having a machine shop do the rebuild but I started thinking why the Maval, which is OEM from what I understand, is twice as expensive as Cardone or BBB. Maybe there is some machining involved? I don't really have time to tackle the rebuild myself or trust my skills.

I have a quote for a little over a grand including LBJ's, rebuilt Maval rack, and I will also supply the outer rod ends. Plus alignment.
