Ok, I'll bite. Either I'm not getting this joke, or the washers are something for 2003 models and onward, as it sure as heck not on my car. Which is it?

In have an 02 and I have them. It's on the small panel to the lower left of the steering wheel.

OK that might be the problem. My car is spec'd for U.S. but it was also probably specific for Hawaii. As an example, I don't have a Nav screen either.

Not that I would have ever used it, but can someone post a pic so I can see what I would have had?

For non-US spec cars, I think this switch folds the outside rear view mirrors.

Clarification/correction

The text in the top pic refers to 2002 models built through December 2001, not December 1st! Sorry - I left out the '0' as in '01'.

Thanks ... now will you stop laughing?

Hell, Larry, I knew all along where that washer button was, but I didn't have the foggiest idea where the water came from. I don't expect that I'll ever use it, though - one usually needs headlight washers only when driving in winter muck, which is something my car will never see unless it's stolen.

Thanks for the pic, Ed. Yup, I don't have that. No button at all on that panel. Whew - I thought everyone was joking about some phantom feature, and I wasn't getting the joke.

Gents, I too am an ignoramus who never even knew there was a headlight sprayer despite reading the manual twice and owning the car two years.;

for what it is worth I have not got the geography locator figured out completely yet either.

um ... what's a geography locater? Do you mean the Nav system?

Speaking of which ....
A beautiful day - put the top down and took a ride to a nearby Classic Car Museum. I decided to turn on the Nav system just for the hey of it, but it was so dim, I could hardly make out what was on the screen. I tilted it every which way it could be tilted to no avail. I finally gave up on it figuring there was something wrong with the darn thing.
Oh, by the way, did I mention this was the first time I used the Nav system since I bought sun glasses? Duh.

Pics (not mine) of some of the cars in the museum.

I find this function useful to frighten away birds. If you turn off the lights, the headlamp washer will not work. Only when the lights are on does it spray.

Do you know how I can get the rear mirrors to fold back automatically when I park Garry

Somewhere in this forum, someone wrote that SCs built for the US (North America, maybe?) have a headlight washer button, but for SCs built for the rest of the world, that button folds the outside rear view mirrors.
Knowing how SCs are designed, I'll bet there are several conditions that must be present for the button to work.

Garry,

Folding back the mirrors automatically is easy. You just have to pull in a really tight spot with a car on each side of you. Or, you can use a really narrow alley.

Seriously, I think this is standard on the Euro spec.models, not U.S.
