Default Maintenance Required

I just got the “maintenance required” warning light on my dash. I’m not sure I have had this on in the 6 + years that I have owned my 2007 SC430. I tried the instructions for turning the oil change reminder off, but this did not turn it off. I would like some help in what maintenance this light is indicating that I might need. Thanks.

It’s your oil change reminder

Turn the key to the on position.
Determine that the odometer reading is displayed. ...
Turn the key back off.
Push and hold the reset button for the trip meters. ...
While continuing to depress the reset button, turn the key back to the "on" position, but not so far as the "start" position.

GmanSC, thanks for your help. I tried it from the instructions from the shop manual, but it was not as clear as your instructions. I probably did not hold down the reset button before turning the key. Thanks again.

It’s not my instructions, it’s general instructions for all Toyota’s.
In this modern time, you can find almost everything just by asking Mr. Google. Cheer.
