In Texas you have the Texas mile event. Used to be in beeville, last I knew they moved it to Victoria.

I had had mine up to 120 once. Didn't give me any unsecured feeling.

I think without the speed governor, proper conditions on a track of course, the car would do maybe 175 mph stock. The aerodynamics are pretty good on the car.

A somewhat affordable 100 hp forced induction solution would be so great for this car. What a blast it would be. 👍

Default An inch makes a difference

I put 19" Lexus RCF rims on my SC430 which lifted the car an inch. I now notice that at speeds approaching 170kph (105mph) the car starts to float. I assume that the natural suction effect under the car has been compromised????

120 with top down 125 with it up, 150 is attainable but maggie begins to float over 120 needs some struts though. stock with 130k miles 2002.

At 120 plus on a bumpy road the stock Sc was scary. Needed coilovers. Got them. Sway bars. Got them.

If you get your ECU flashed, they can remove the speed limiter. Mine should be here tomorrow

C’mon Wilson, you were young once...
we all know you tweaked that 1933 jalopy to go 130mph back in the day!

I wish I had a rat rod like that, but I was too poor "back in the day." Instead, I was slogging a 36hp, '59 VW Bug, and I was lucky to get it up to 70 mph (which felt like 130+mph)!

If the SC speed limiter is truly in 150 mph range, then removing it without tweaking the chassis may be suicidal!

Did 100mph recently. No difference than 70mph.

hahahaha, yeah, I know I would never do it...I am too old for much above 100mph...and that rarely happens

I had mine at 140mph and it had room to go more but I backed off because of the stock suspension at that speed, it felt a little floaty and I was uncomfortable.. With a fully built suspension, the car will handle incredible actually, and should have no problem feeling stable at 162mph which they are apparently capable of if you have the speed limiter removed. I had a WRX stuck to the *** of my car I guess trying to prove a point he could keep up with me which is how I took it to 140, but had the car not been so floaty I would have maxed it out and I likely would have been at a higher top speed than the WRX even though that car could accelerate faster than mine. I hear a mix of these SC430's beyond limited between 147-152 mph.

Haha don't worry, I don't have the ***** to test the lack of limiter... yet. Still waiting on my coilovers to ship.
