Default What is the fastest you have ever driven in your SC430?

I hit 85 MPH each time I am on the freeway and the SC feels still very stable and has a lot more she can do. Has anyone hit 100-115 in your SC?

Our SC430 is pretty heavy and my guess is it could
easily hit 115-125..

112 on a long fairly straight and level roadway that I am very familiar with. On dry recently resurfaced section of freeway. It was so effortless for the car I didn’t realize I had passed by 100.

I bet it governs out at 131 like the LS430 does.

At that speed there is so much left to go but it's like some huge force that comes in to stop the fun.

No, GmanSC is correct. There have been 2 or 3 members over time that have hit it. It is about 155 mph ±2 or 3 mph.

Guys, guys. I know how much fun it is to crack the throttle. But here's the reasonable thing to do. Take it to a dyno. It tops out at whatever point it tops out at do to the gear ratio of the drive train. Your car has the abilty. But the gearing is the limiting factor here. Just my humble opinion.

Unless you have a perfectly straight flat road the soft suspension at high speeds is scary.

strut brace, Both sway bars helped. Needs coilovers badly

50 years ago a built a 58 427 vette street top end car. 200 plus. Sold it after one ride.

we happened to be on the road to Vegas playing with another impatient driver and let it out a bit.

the motor and brakes are enough. Suspension sucked. Fixable.

Where are those exactly? I'd love to do that! I'm in North County San Diego. Thanks
