Lexus Unveils Pebble Beach SC ??
Hey All
Do any of you have any pictures?
Lexus Unveils Pebble Beach SC
Lexus says its 2004 SC Pebble Beach Edition commemorates its four-year relationship with the Pebble Beach Company. Four hundred of the special editions will be produced in Pebble Beach Azure Pearl, also applied to the wheels. Inside, the SC PBE gets leather seating, black bird’s-eye maple trim and customized Pebble Beach badging and floor mats — and in the trunk, a free black leather golf bag. The special edition is on sale at Lexus dealers now.

The brochure actually begs more questions than it answers, although it does have nice photos of the vehicle and the color, which is the background color of the brochure itself.
European leather is mentioned, but not whether it is in any way different from the standard Ecru, although it appears to be the same color.
Lexus phone support feigns any knowledge of the vehicle. Apparently Lexus has not yet told their own employees if there will be a 2004.

SexySC,
Yup know what you mean.. However we do have the Winter Gold on Black for the SC430 that our American cousins haven't been able to order..
Plus the GS gets headlight washers where the US cars do not.. I know with respect to Infiniti our choices for the FX are alot cleaner than what they offer to the US buyer.. BTW when do you get your G35C.. I have a FX35 (Tech Pkg) order in for late Sept or early Oct. delivery..

I put a deposit down for the G35 coupe about 3 weeks ago & still isn't able to get the order # from the dealer yet, but was told that it could arrive as early as late September.
I was torn between the base FX35 and G35 coupe and was undecided for a while. Since I already have the SC430, the more prudent thing for me to do is to get the FX as my daily driver, plus I like the more upscale interior of the FX which is also sporty enough for me to have a bit of fun with it. However,as you know, you can't get the 20" wheels and the sports suspension, which I really want, with the base FX seperately in Canada. You have to upgrade to the Touring Package, which also include the NAV, rear entertainment ,smart key and backup camera. I consider the NAV and the rear entertainment a waste of money for my needs.
I have always been partial to coupes, so I went with my heart, not my mind & ordered the coupe, since I don't really need spacious, comfortable backseats in the near future. However, it's unlikely that I'll be able to keep both the SC and the G35 coupe in a couple years time due to family needs, and I may have to trade one of them for a more practical car, possibly the FX, the new LS or GS . Life is short, so I'll enjoy both of them when I can.

My dealer, Difeo Lexus, they are only getting one pebble beach edition SC. It will be priced around $2k over the msrp of the standard SC.
I didn't really ask too many questions because I was signing papers for a brand new RX330 to go with my 2002 SC430...hehe.

Thanks for the pics, GsLsSc430. At first, it looked like a standard Millenium Silver/Ecru car to me, but when I looked closer, it looked to be a bluish silver like I've seen on some Mercedes. I'd be interested to see a picture of the black bird's eye maple, the dark gray bird's eye on the LS430 looks like marble and is absolutely gorgeous. I also see that there's a badge behind the fender, where Lexus normally places insignia for special edition models like Coach Edition and Platinum Series.
Edit: Found the interior pics on the next page, the wood is much darker of that in the LS.

The color is probably similar to the bluish silver offered on the LS430 last year. Good to see there are no major changes in the '04 for those of us who own previous models. Too bad they stuck with the pie plates. Even non-special edition models are starting to appear on dealer lots with the wheel conversion kits.

Oh. That Car.
I saw this car at the Pebble Beach Concours show two weeks ago. Didn't pay much attention to it cuz it's not my style of colors and it was kinda hard to get into Lexus when you're there to gaze at Bugatti's and Ferrari's. I thought the leather-wood combo was very nice, but I didn't think it was a good match for that silver color. Jus my 2 cents...
