Default Tinted windscreens

I tried to have the original windscreens tinted but had too many air-bubbles appear, probably due to it being vinyl, not glass. Had this tinted version made up at a local lucite shop here in NYC. $50.00. Had two made - one for my black 2006, another for a silver 2004.

Lucite shop used.

I did not have any problem with mine. Tinted all windows plus the wind deflector for $100.

Haha, California houses cost twice as much as they are in Florida.

Is this the type of windscreen you are talking about?
Here is a larger one that I made but haven't put on my car yet. Could this be something you are interested in?

which side did you have the tint applied to? facing the passengers, or the rear, or both?

Yes! How much larger than OEM is it?

I would think the backside would be best. It wouldn't be subject to any wind, dust or whatever.

This one I made about an inch and a half larger in the middle than stock. I also sandblasted the design and applied leds on the bottom to light up the whole image.

Tinted on one side. You can install the deflector either way.

How did you power the LEDs? Do they come on with your taillights?

This one is wired to stay on constantly but is controlled by the remote control (on, off, dim, or colors). I made a brake light for my motorcycle which is obviously wired to come on with my brake light. The bike is a 1998 Honda Valkyrie that I will never get rid of.

For $100 it must be the cheapest tint available. Much better spending a bit extra and getting carbon or ceramic tint.
