Default Storage

Now this may seem trivial but the reason i ask is what is better for the components? Storing for the winter with the top up or with the top down? ya,ya ya--inside ,of course!
I've been thinking of this for a couple of weeks as to which , if any, is better for the roof components. Maybe there is less pressure on them when the top is up/down.I was just reading Raven's post about backer rods for the top seal and it reminded me about this issue. Sure the inside will be dustier in the spring with the top down but that may be a small price to pay.

Winter storage has always been top up with any of my convertibles.

Not applicable to San Diego. We actually get more hours of sun in January than any other month of the year. But if I needed to store the car it would be with the top up. I would also read and do my best to comply with the instructions contained in the long term vehicle storage guidelines TSB linked HERE.

Top up. I always treat all rubber/seals before storing along with full tank of real 100% pure gasoline (no alcohol- several places
to get near me) treated with fuel stabilizer and add Techron in the spring. Regulated storage charger and car cover.

Not applicable in Ontario, either. A good set of Blizzaks, some 17" rims off a Solara, and I'm good to go all year round.

Thats what the ES 350 is for, Michelin X-Ice and Camry wheels.
