SC430 #95 NM Edition, Custom Stereo, one of a kind
Before I list my SC for sale I thought I would share some photos and write up on #95 of 100 rare Nieman Marcus Edition. You don't find these very often esp. in this condition and customized on top of that.
I designed a very unique stereo system which keeps the OEM NAV system complete. It uses a Pioneer NEX-4100 headunit connected to a Hertz 5-channel class D amp hidden in the trunk under the OEM carpet. This powers high-end JL separates in the front and Focals in the back. The subwoofer is a 10" Hertz in a custom mad fiberglassed box in the trunk which fits in the OEM tool storage area. It takes up no more room then the OEM equipment. It is also ported and tuned for this sub and the custom cover allows you to put what ever you want in the trunk on top of it without worrying about damage.
The OEM amp is still installed and controls the OEM screen and NAV unit. It still has the beeps, and noises the original setup had. I updated the NAV to the newest generation and used a Beat Sonic adapter in to allow everything to work together. The OEM steering wheel controls work and you can output video to the upper screen too. I installed a Hertz subwoofer control into the ashtray and a USB connector in the center console.
A Kudo cellphone mount allows Apple Carplay/Android Auto connection and the deck has bluetooth and a rear view camera. I removed the entire interior and added Dynomat to the doors, floors, sides, and rear to make it the quietest SC around.
Other mods are 19" forged wheels (forgestar wheels lighter then OEM 18"), Megan coilovers with custom cutouts for damping adjustment in the trunk. A TRD sway bar upfront (huge) with a OEM ISF rear sway bar with Figs Engineering bushings. Also Figs steering rack bushings installed which made a huge improvement. 20% tint, OEM LED tailights, Weapon R intake, 3000K HID fogs, 6000K headlights, and custom brakes round her out.
Beautiful car.
Engine bay is so clean, not sure if you drive the car at all.
I might paint my engine cover red
Not bad for 79k miles!
I have routinely cleaned the engine bay over its life. My secret is to use Simple Green in a spray bottle and water with light hose preasure. Leave overnight.
