Yea that much of a difference is not a big deal. I'd say variations from different pad manufacturers. However, you just wanna be sure to see how it fits on the other side.
I personally have never had pads to come out, even a little bit from the rotor.

I'm glad this was helpful. I feel like big brakes is one of the best mods you can do to these cars.

When you say "see how it fits on the other side" what do you mean exactly? The other pad on the same caliper? or the caliper on the other rear wheel?

I mean the opposite end of the same pad on the same side of the rotor.

Just to confirm if that side is completely covering the rotor. You'll have your answer as to whether it's the pads themselves, or them being set in a certain way or if it's the mounts.

I'll definitely take a good look at them when I go to replace the fronts and have all the wheels off to bleed.

I'll probably take pics of everything for documentation purposes now that I really have my head wrapped around this whole thing.

TSW Variante with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Front: 19x9 ET10 (with 20mm spacer, originally ET30), 245/35/19
Rear: 19x10 ET25, 285/35/19

Note: The rear diameter is +1 size to the front. This happened accidentally through fitment issues on the front (I had to use a smaller tire than I originally thought), but I really love the way it looks/rides now. Also, I'm lowered 30mm front and rear, which made fitting these monsters tricky. I had a specialty shop do some fender rolling/trimming to make it fit, but it doesn't rub and I love it.

Here's my thread on the wheels: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...-question.html

285 on a 10" is a little much, I run 275 in a 10.5, lol. Did you match the tires and wheels yourself?

285 is the max width you can (correctly) use on a 10" wheel. I like the look of a meaty rear tire.

"a little much" is kinda my thing.

I have 285 on 9.5, you can do 295 on 10 but you have to wider the wheel well for sure.
What's your gas mileage nowadays? Mine is like 17mpg.

I originally wanted 295, but kind of lucky I couldn't find them in the tire I want since this setup just barely fits without rubbing now, and there isn't any more rolling/trimming to be done without real body work.

That's a very good question, I've made so many changes and haven't really been driving it a lot because I didn't want to wear the brakes unevenly until I got the new calipers in there.

I should reset the computer and see where it averages out to now. I think the LSD brought it down, but the intake manifold/exhaust brought it up (if you don't get pedal happy), I think the brakes/wheels/tires made it go up too (likely from the big weight reduction on all of it). That's my anecdotal observation from the limited driving I've done. I'm supposedly having it tuned in May, so maybe I'll report back before that happens on mpg.

Also, I would be willing to bet mpg varies drastically whether you drive with the top up or down because of aerodynamics, especially on the highway. This car is very aerodynamic with the top up, I think it has something like a .31 drag coefficient (for reference, a Prius is something like .29), but I assume that's with the top up. No idea with the top down.
