I thought I had done all my brake research and then bought LS400 calipers, but when digitatc brought the LS460 option to my attention, I decided to do a deep dive again and make sure I didn't miss anything else.
Some of this has probably been posted before, but I'm going to consolidate my findings in this thread for the future.
I borrowed this image from it, and I've updated it below with some additions including piston diameter:
Supra TT Front:12.71" Rotor | Caliper: 4 piston x 1.7"
Supra TT Rear: 12.75" Rotor | Caliper: 2 Piston x 1.4"
SC430 Front: 11.7" Rotor | Caliper: 2 Piston x 1.7"
SC430 Rear: 12.1" Rotor | Caliper: 2 Piston x 1.4"
LS400 Front: 12.4" Rotor | Caliper: 4 Piston x 1.7"
LS400 Rear: 12.07" | Caliper: 1 Piston x 1.6"
LS460 Front: Rotors are 120x5 bolt pattern, so they don't fit our cars | Caliper: 4 Piston x 1.7" (requires XAT bracket)
LS460 Rear: Rotors are 120x5 bolt pattern, so they don't fit our cars | Caliper: Doesn't fit with any available solution
ISF Front: 14.2" Rotor | Doesn't fit with any available solution, LS460 Calipers, CTS-V, & C6 Corvette calipers are possible with aftermarket brackets)
ISF Rear: 13.6" Rotor | Doesn't fit with any available solution
So as far as I can tell, The biggest front option that fits under the stock wheels is the LS460 caliper with IS-F rotor using the XAT bracket.
For the rear, the Supra TT rear caliper is likely the same size (unless we have a 40mm piston, but I can't confirm, then it would be a downgrade) but it allows the use of a rotor 0.65" larger. While that technically makes it bigger, it would be a pointless endeavor to switch from ours. Also, I'm not 100% sure it just bolts up like the front without modification.
Unless someone comes up with a new solution, our rear brakes seem to be the best option for us (excluding aftermarket). It would be nice if someone made a bracket to allow our rear calipers to accept the 13.6" rear ISF rotors. Anyone got a CNC mill? lol
I found a low-mileage set of LS460 calipers on ebay... they're plentiful and cheap. The RWD & AWD LS460 calipers have different castings (K17 vs N18) but are more/less the same, just a slightly different shape in the casting. Either one works for the XAT bracket. EDIT: The N18 will NOT work. XAT has now updated their page to reflect this. Use the K17.
The LS400 option is also a pretty great solution if you're on a tighter budget. While the Supra TT fronts have a 0.3" larger rotor, they're an older, heavier caliper design. The LS400 are all aluminum. They're also a lot easier to get your hands on for a reasonable price than Supra parts from the 90s.
Please feel free to correct or update any of this information.
It should be the same for any of the 4 Piston calipers with the same diameter pistons, no? Only with the monobloc aluminum ones you would have about half the weight.
That's really crazy, though! Those are legit supercars.
Not sure about you but I would leave the rear alone. It has dual pots and most braking power come from front. I think the front is doing 90% of the stopping power.
Not all 4pots are created equal. Some of the calipers on that list are 6pots.
I totally agree with u that the monoblock AL is lighter. If I didn't buy the Supra TT calipers, I would have gone w the LS460/ISF setup. Make it look so much bigger and better with my wheels.

Yeah, I don't think there's anything worth doing to the rears at the moment.
I think you'll be very happy with the Supra Calipers and I doubt the weight will really matter on the street.
I actually asked suprastore about the ISF rear rotors, here was their reply:
Joe-
No we have been and are still looking to solve the rear setup-
The stock caliper will not throat the much thicker ISF rotor in the rear- nor will the LS460 calipers, we have also tried a few other rotor and caliper options and the way the rear spindle is designed- we will most likely have to use a wilwood radial mount caliper with the ISF rotor..... look for a solution about 3-4 months as we are actively working on this-
Front/Rear Big Brake kit from Stoptech. Fits well under the stock wheels. The improvement is enormous.
Which kit is it? Can you post a link so we're all on the same page? Even better if you have pics installed on your car too!
I'm sure the aftermarket options are going to be excellent, but likely several times the price of some of the other swaps, probably even more than the CTS-V or C6 Vette options. That aside, everyone feel free to post aftermarket options, it never hurts to have all the available data in 1 thread for the future.
It says it fits "Lexus IS(GSE20 series ),GS(S19 series ),RC, Mark X(GRX12,GRX13 series ), Crown (GRS18,20 series ,21 series ), Majesta (UZS18, URS20 series )"
Is the GS S19 the GS430? which would be the same as our cars? or is it the GS350 which is different?
The LS460 rears are 2 piston x 38mm (3mm larger than ours) but the FX50 rotor they're talking about is about 13.8".
I personally have supra tt up front, stock at the back. It stops phenomenal even with ceramic pads and regular rotors. But amazing information you have up there. I didn't have the XAT bracket luxury back then otherwise I would've probably gotten LS460 calipers because it's aluminum vs iron - less unsprung weight
This actually fits our cars (UZZ40), I wish they specified which rear LS caliper and which 350mm rotor. I would love it if you could just buy the brackets from japan and the rest in the US because otherwise it's pretty expensive: http://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionID=n373620145
