Looks like you had to do quite a bit of digging to get to it. So was it the switch that was bad or was there a mechanical failure? Are you up and running now?

Techstream confirm bad switch. Problem was the top closing and getting stuck, was only rare but annoying and hesistant to open the top when weather was beautiful in Florida. Just wanted to show the pics and appreciate the support forum members

Hi. Have same error. I'm about to order the part.

Two questions, is the part number 84742-24080 (limit switch no. 1)? And for North American models, it is on the driver side, right?

Many thanks

Awesome, thank you.

As of now, roof not opening. Usually it's intermittent. If I get the part and roof doesn't open, can I replace it without roof opened?

This sounds crazy, but run your car over a speed bump without slowing down. Then try the roof. If the switch is misaligned, this may jar it back in place. It is not a long term fix, but it might work to get the roof down so you can fix it.

Otherwise you can google how to lower the roof manually (it might be in your owner's manual)

How to manually open roof.. not sure it's applicable to your year.. but should generally be the same.

HI. Ordered and received part 84742-24080.
It is not the limit switch roof position 1. It's limit switch for tray package no. 1 that is located same place but the driver side.

Seems the part number for limit switch roof position 1 is 84742-24050.

Can you please double check the number and let me know if it's actually 84742-24050? I need to reorder but want to make sure.

Thanks
