Default AFS Light Flashing After Bulb Change

AFS light is flashing after headlight bulb change on my 2007. Is there a reset? Did I knock something loose?

Any direction appreciated.

Thanks!

Adapted Front Lighting System (AFS) moves your headlights left or right according to your turning. The switch is below the fuel door and trunk release switches.
If it flashing, probably something got disconnected. Try to turn it off and on or disconnect the battery. I don’t know if there’s a eay to reset it.

Switch does nothing. Flashes whether the button is pushed in or out.

Thanks for answering.

This thread, paying attention to post #9.....https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...ing-light.html

BTW the search tool is really really helpful. For example searching AFS will present the answer.

Yes, I searched and read that post.

Post number 9 offered no answers to my situation.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe I wasn't clear. My AFS worked fine since I've had the car. It worked fine Friday. Then I merely changed a burnt out headlight bulb.

Now it doesn't work.

I am unsure how replacing a bulb would suddenly make the height sensors not work. Especially when I didn't touch them during the bulb replacement process. Headlights work fine otherwise. They dip up/down on startup.

Thanks for your reply.

How did you replace the bulbs. Did you drop a bumper? The headlights dip and down, that is the auto leveling, it’s not AFS.
You must accidentally knocked something loose.

When you use your turn signals, do they blink fast? I know the SC is a little finicky with light bulbs. If you don't put in the right polarity or the right resistance the car will signal an error.

Any chance you put in a defective or an incorrect light bulb in?

When parts and electronics get old often the breaking point just takes a little nudge. The sensors are directly related to the functionality of the system. Go back and trace your work. If nothing appears to be wrong at the headlight assembly check the height sensors. We can only offer suggestions, you are the one who actually did the work. Maybe the motor just decided to bite the dust. Techstream might be able to tell you the exact fault.

Bulbs are blinking normal and as expected.

Headlights working fine too.

Did you find out how to fix it? I had the same issue, but I replaced the D2S bulb without removing the headlight unit.
