I would be very surprised if this is the case. If so, how does your unit overcome the top ECU's detection of the windows not in the expected position (which is considered a terminal fault). Once the ECU detects the rear windows in an unusual place (top down, RW up or top up, RW down) its programmed to prevent movement of the top. That fault code can be cleared only by restarting the car.
The video proves nothing since i dont think motor is running and you cant tell anything from the video

I was thinking it sure seemed like that.

Do violation threads get deleted?

Post #15 caused post #16 as a firm, but gentle, reminder of our forum rules.

However, that does not preclude OP from becoming a forum sponsor, of a product, if that was the original intent of the post. Furthermore, if the OP original intent was merely informational, i.e. an alternative to other methods of moving the rear quarter windows, then the thread meets the guidelines IMO.

We made it for our sc club members, because of sc is rare car it is not a commercial project. We wanted to share it with you. Especially we made mod better than analogs. I can't sell it for you if it is prohibited by forum rules. If someone interested to buy it only via forum admins.

yeah those LuxLink systems were way ahead of the times back then. Wonder what they’d go for if you could find one????

with the Luxlink unit I get no errors if windows 1/4 are down or up with top up or down . With my unit once I activate then1/4 window mod the top will not go up or down until I shut engine off znd restart that was a bug in one of the gen 2 units . There also was another bug that if you used your 1/4 window mod and then shut car off next time you would remote start the engine only the top would auto go down this was a known bug

Following my recent installation of this module, I can now respond to your question. The answer is NO. I get no alarms in any configuration of the quarter windows, engine on or off. I do not need to do any restarts or resets. I think it actually works without offending the senses (sensors) of the ever so delicate SC430.

thank you for posting your bug occurrences. My gen three luxlink may or may not have all of your gen 2’s issues but I have only noticed that if I use the quarter window control the engine will not shutdown within 5 minutes of use.

requires a manual 3 times use of the ignition key in the drivers door lock.

More than 5 minutes I understand the cars computer resets itself.

the auto top, quarter window control and remote start from the luxlink are not in of themselves terribly important to the cars use ability but sure add whipped cream on top of the ice cream as it were.

i thank the forum members who helped me when I bought our Sc to find a new in box spare gen 3 luxlink and the missing from our car PB specific floor mats.

never been a luxury car guy before. Thanks to lexus for converting me with both our cars.

amazingly well made 08’s.

Cannot imagine selling them any time soon.
