Also, which monitor did you go with, exactly? If you could give us some idea of how much space there is to work with in there, that would be very helpful.

Side note, the ebay seller for the one I linked replied back with this pic. Looking at the one in the listing, it shows a separate input for the reverse cam, and then with the pic they sent, an additional video input. So a front camera should work just fine on this one. I'm strongly considering purchasing this, if you could give us some insight on if it will fit or not, that would be great.
Looks like mine, it will fit, but you have to cut navigation body.

That shouldn't be too hard, what did you use, like a dremel cutting wheel or something like that?

Is it just the metal in the back you have to cut? or anything else?

This looks awesome, but it's double the depth. So I don't know if that would be too much too fit. It's about double the depth of the other ones.

It's got Android 10 (the current version) and built-in carplay. (EDIT: might be fake, see post below)

To anyone considering specs, I just came across a thread that shows some of the sellers are scamming people with fake system info screens. Buyer beware:

I started this thread to talk about the differences in android head units: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...l#post10755060

I didn't want to clog this thread up with all the tech specs and stuff, I think what's most important about this thread is the physical install and fitment.

THAT IS AWESOME! Way to go guys. Is there anyway one of your guys could post how they did their wiring? Which wire from the android harness to which wire from the old nav system? A sketch (even in Russian) would help.

Were you the first one to come up with the idea Evgeniy?

Есть ли кто-нибудь из ваших парней, кто мог бы опубликовать, как они сделали свою проводку?Yest' li kto-nibud' iz vashikh parney, kto mog by opublikovat', kak oni sdelali svoyu provodku?
Эскиз поможет.Eskiz pomozhet.

Android not connected to old nav harness. I connected to stock radio power harness only 4 wires: +, acc, ground and backup camera. Audio rca cables from android connected with aux on radio. Tomorrow I will try to do a sketch.

Thanks. I appreciate that.

I am really trying to figure out a way to get the android nav to talk over the radio, like the current nav system does.

Ok, sorry for the delay. I've taken this stupid thing apart so many times I should work for Lexus. I'm sure I'm faster than anyone on the line by now.

I put all the boards except the actual screen in there and nothing is happening. with tilt or open / close. I'm about ready to close it and be done with it. : ( It worked after putting the head unit...but no longer.
After seeing this thread I'd like to put a android unit in to do TPS and backup as well as navigation. But I'm not doing that unless I get this thing to work again.

Back of my 2006 nav screen

This is the board under the front plastic cover...even putting it back didn't fix my issue.

View of the chip

Measurements wide

Measurement tall

main board from the back

Sub board

Sub board...this side is facing down & connected to the main board when installed

Where the sub board connects to the main board...with sub board removed

I'm guessing I've got a board issue? Because (it's different than the one pictured) the boards are all there...
