I inherited my mom's car last year. It is a 2002 that she bought new and it only had 36K on it however, it had been sitting in the garage for over a year and the Ecru White seats had mold and mildew on them. I cleaned the whole interior but the seats had some light stains from the mildew on the leather. I took it to my local upholstery shop. Auggie is very experienced and has been doing this for 35 years. He cleaned and lightly scuffed the leather with a Scotchbrite pad and redyed all the seats, seat backs, center console, and door panel arm rests using SEM dye. They came out looking like new. That was last year and 13k miles ago. The interior still looks like new and cleans up with soap and water. The seats are still as soft as butter and when I get in the car it still smells like new leather. Make sure you use someone who is experienced with leather.
