Unhappy Water Bubble on Convertible Flap

Order some new tires for the SC430 (General Altimax RT43's) and while inspecting the car I noticed a bubble on my convertible flap similar to the one below:

Would an upholstery shop be able to fix this? Ty

its an easy fix...just a little glue dispensed from a small needle...

Called the “package tray” an air bubble has formed under the leather where gasses gathered. I had this same problem. A small imperceptible puncture will allow the air/gasses to escape allowing the leather to return to the original position.

DON'T USE GLUE!!! Poke a small hole in the middle and use a hair dryer to warm up the entire area, then just work the bubble out. There is a youtube video if you do a search for air bubble on vinyl dashboard.

It sounds easy enough however this would be my first time doing such thing. Will look at a professional and see what they can offer and gaurentee.

Ah VVTiBob, its good to have feedback from you. How was your results? This is usually a spot that gets no attention but once the top is down, it is visible.

You dont need anyone to do it for you. Check out this video. I have no mechanic skills and feel comfortable doing this.

why do bubbles show up after 10 years?
what holds the material in place when they build the package tray?
guess I made a mistake five years ago when I fixed mine...

My result? You’d never know there was an issue ever there. Had the top down with package tray in the sun for a short period (less than 10 minutes). Made a tiny, imperceptible puncture. Worked the air out, and voilà, problem fixed and has never returned.
