Default CD Player Error Message Disc Full

I am getting a flashing error message on LCD screen while playing radio "disc full" and then it goes away and after awhile comes back again. I have removed all (6) CD's and cleaned them and loaded them back in player. Still getting flashing error message "disc full" at times. There is no error message when playing CD's and there is no problem with CD playback or loading or unloading CD's in player. Just wondering if anybody in forum has had this happen with their Mark Levinson audio system. Mine is a 2007 Lexus SC430. Thank you.

Does the disc player stop working while the error message is being displayed?

It sounds like the heat unit thinks that the LOAD button is being pressed and it states that the magazine is full and can't load any more discs.

So far the only time I get the message is when I am listening to the radio. The error message "disc full" comes on and goes away at random.
When I play the CD's I haven't gotten the error message and everything plays fine without any interruption.
Thank you

Does the message still come up even when the disc magazine isn't full (or have you ever not had it full)? If it only comes up when the magazine is full, it sounds like the head unit is having false positive LOAD switch activations.

I have always had (6) CD's loaded. I will take out (2) CD's and see if it makes a difference and post the results.
Thank you

Also, check to see if the LOAD button is partially depressed.

As suggested I checked the load button to make sure it was not depressed in error. I removed (2) CD's and played the radio for a day or so and no error message "disc full" appeared with (4) CD's loaded. I put (1) CD back in and played the radio with (5) CD's loaded for a day with no error message. Now I have loaded the 2nd CD into the player for a total of (6) CD's and so far no error message when playing the radio. I will continue to play radio with all (6) CD's loaded for another couple of days and post the results. Thank you.

It's a good chance that since you had to press the LOAD button, that it freed it up or cleaned up the contact enough to get rid of the problem. Hopefully it stays away. Glad that it seems to be working again.

.....another possible issue, when I listen to the CD's, I usually have it set on random. A cpl of years ago, the changer was going through it's routine of shuffling the CD's & it actually put a CD, in the slot holder of another CD. The only way I figured it out, when ejecting them, 2 came out @ the same time, when i pressed the button

Thank you for your post. I play the (6) CD's on random as well but so far whenever I have ejected only one has come out at a time. I am still playing radio with all (6) CD's loaded and will post results soon. I want to give it a little more time before calling problem all gone.

I am happy to report problem is gone. Although I tried to fix the problem by removing and cleaning all (6) CD's from the player that did not clear the problem. By following the suggestion received in this forum to remove some but not all of the CD's and try with the player partially full, I was able to finally correct an annoying issue of error message "disc full" when playing the radio. I am grateful to be a member of Club Lexus and of the help received by forum members. Thank you.
