Default New to me 2004 SC430

60000 km, 1 previous owner. Used to think this was a weird looking Lexus, but it grew on me over the years.

Those rims, yikes. Only an owner can love those.

Yes, the previous owner's grandson had wrapped the car as he was driving it for the last year or so. He also took out the resonator and changed the original rims.

Not many kilometers/miles. Did the previous owner change the timing belt, pullies, water pump, etc. (timing belt kit), if not it's overdue and something that you will want to consider.

Welcome. Can you get the original rims back?

And peel off the wrap? I'm sure it looks lovely under there....

Congrats and welcome to the club. I don’t really like the dull look of the vinyl wrap but it’s your car, so long as you like it, that’s what count.

Definitely a different look from OEM, I can see why it took a while for it to grow on you. The dull look gives it a whole new personality.

I noticed a red tint or something on the edge of the doors in a couple of pictures, did it used to be red or is that just the picture making it look that way?

You've got sharp eyes. It's red for the exterior. I am ok with the dull look for now compared to that bright red. The wrap is only good for about five years, so I will put on a different color when it's due to come off in a couple of years.
I am a fan of Lexus products (GSF, GS). I was looking at 911, F Typed, and SL550 but ended up with the SC for my first convertible. I am completely sold on this type of vehicles now. This car will stay as is until I can afford an LC convertible if Lexus ever decided to produce it.
