The problem has to do with how the headlight is sealed with a cap to prevent moisture from entering. This type of lamp won't fit inside to allow the cap to seal. I ran into this issue wanting to the same thing on my old LS430. Also, you can find the same quality lamps on Amazon for about 1/2 the price.

Even the best available $200 GTR Ultra 2 LED won't beat what you have right now.

The headlights are designed very well but a high powered LED lamp would make a big difference. Something like these 10k lumen lamps
