Road force balancing is great, but spendy! It shouldn't be necessary unless you are attempting to correct for some other problem in your front end. If your suspension is tight, normal balancing is sufficient.

I'm thinking of replacing the front struts with kyb's Has anyone done this type of work before? I am pretty mechanically inclined, But what problems could I run into? It has no rust on any bolts from what I can see.

This video shows the procedure pretty well. Little home grown but if you have the right tools it's not particularly hard. Do the mounts for sure and boots if torn.

I've seen issues in Toyotas with the spring insulators, the rubber that keeps the springs from touching the metal spring seats. But I have yet to tackle an SC strut replacement. Whether they look worn or not, I recommend new, OEM rubber to prevent future issues with clunking when encountering bumps and potholes.
