Have used our SC for trips to the course, clubs in trunk and always with top up. If top down, may need to put clubs in back seat for sure. With top up, clubs in trunk, however, need to remove driver from bag and put in trunk separately. My experience!!!

Seriously, if you don’t want your drink spill on your seat or carpet, you will need something like this.

Oh really looking to be able to pull into the course with the top down and the clubs in the trunk. Would not mind if you could put the clubs in the trunk and then lower the top.

It depends on your bag. (Disclaimer: I don't golf, so I don't know golf bags or their varieties.) Does your car have a spare tire kit in it? If it has a spare tire kit, I'd say that it is highly unlikely that a golf bag would fit. Without a spare tire kit, you might have a good chance. Maybe one of the golfers in the group can "chip" in here.

Regular sized lightweight golf bag ( dual carry strap ) with an up to 45 inch driver - Yes. No need to store the driver separately.
Possible to ride with top down too but you need to put the top back up once you want to take the bag out.
Done this many times.

Regular full sized cart bag, single strap - this will be a problem. Tight squeeze, you might crack or break or stress something. I would not try it.

I can. I have a large golf bag and being 6'5" I have a long driver and it all fits. I'm not sure the largest bag will fit, but mine is at least average and with a little pushing it fits.
