Default Curious...

about how would the new CHROMED 'star' hubcaps (on Ebay for $50 each) would look on regular stock wheels. Has anybody seen them like that? It seems to me that'd add a nice contrast to the wheels, and complement my future silver car nicely. Your opinions are important to me.
Unitl the shock of spending more than $60K on a car wears out, I'm not going to put anything on the car other than tinted windows, and possibly the star hub caps. I'll debadged it and try to modify the grille so it looks with continuous chromed horizontal lines, but that doesn't cost anything. I just want to make my car a little more unique, because believe it or not, I've seen a lot of SCs around here, especially silver.

Hope you guys had a great weekend.

JC

I read it too but nobody posted info; the ones for $50 are chromed though. My question is if chromed or silver look better on regular wheels. I'll definitely get those star hubcaps to differentiate my car from most others.

Wheel Creations and another outfit in LA sells them for $40 each.. they both sell chromed wheels on Ebay also.

I refuse to invest any more money in my car since I'm selling it so I can't tell you how they look.... sorry..

I understand. I was referring to somebody who already have them, or has seen them. If I can buy them silver, that's great news, as I thought they were only available chromed. I eventually will get chromed wheels thru an exchange, but when the tires need replacing; that's why I was considering buying the caps chromed already.

Hey, do you happen to have any contact info on those guys? Website, phone number... anything would help.

Thx.

sorry, that was for chromed aftermarket only... a place will do 'exchange' for $550 in LA area and that includes the mounting and balancing... but I opted not to go for that since I would just loose it on re-sale..

if you still want their website/contact info... let me know and I'll dig it up at home tonight on my other PC

I'm looking for the non-chromed star inserts for my SC....but I can't seem to find them. They are all the chrome-look, and I have the non-chrome wheels. Has anyone had any luck with buying the chrome-type ones and painting them to match the brushed aluminum style wheels? This may be my only option.

Thanks

I did that for a week, and ended up sanding them and painting them to match the aluminum wheels. I do have some pics of them installed before I painted them, I'll try to find them tonight.

I have the chrome stars on the stock aluminum wheels. She liked them better than the g spiders, so I sold the spiders. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow. I also bought some SC centers, and I painted them black to match the other emblems on the car.
ELP JC, What year is your SC? I have an 04 and has the same style wheels as the red one pictured.
